A rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s market leaders in the design and supply of Direct Fired Process Heaters for the oil, gas and petrochemical industry world-wide. The successful applicant will be a key part of our project engineering team providing a high standard of technical expertise. A good understanding of STAAD is required with experience of AutoCAD and SolidWorks being an advantage. Essential skills would include attention to detail, computer literacy, the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, a team player, an interest in structural design, the ability to learn about other areas, for example piping stress analysis and 3D modelling. A keen forward thinking attitude is required for problem solving engineering. You will have the ability to think commercially as well as technically. You will participate in our goal to increase the efficiency of our work process by sensible use of computer applications. In return you will receive full on the job training, be encouraged to assume responsibility for your design work, work as part of a small dynamic team in a challenging commercial environment, gain experience to achieve chartered status, be responsible for the structural design of £multi million projects (initially with supervision). As you gain experience you will become a key part of our team and your increasing value to our business will be reflected in regular salary reviews. You will report directly to the Structural Design Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering, with an emphasis on Structural Steel Design. The Company is an established Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contractor in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Industries. The department has an active participation from an early sales inquiry stage to the final commissioning stage of process heaters for the petrochemical industry.
