My client is part of a major Construction group, who designs and manages commercial interior projects for some of the Countys best known Organisations. My client is looking for someone to form part of a busy certification team, providing technical support and advice to all assessor scheme members. To conduct desktop audits of assessors work and assess trainee portfolios. For this role, my client is looking for candidates who have previous construction/building knowledge who come from a domestic background (i.e. a previous assessor / surveyor). Someone who can work accurately and has a keen eye to detail, as the role will involve checking assessor scheme members work.

Key Tasks:

-Provide technical and software support via phone and email.
-Provide written and verbal feedback to members.
-To develop and contribute to relevant technical documents and manuals.
-Reading the latest industry changes and developments.
-To undertake QA assessment of scheme members lodged work.
-To maintain accurate call register information relating to inbound calls.
-To assist in course material production and post-course support.
-Provide written reports and verbal feedback.
-Carry out quality assurance checks on members work.
-To train candidates wishing to become DOCEA (full SAP) energy assessors.
-To field incoming calls relating to SAP and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and training
-Any other related duties as required by Scheme Manager.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

-Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office.
-Clear and confident communication, both verbal and written.
-Excellent communication skills: ability to understand and explain complex issues over the phone or via email.
-Accuracy and attention to detail.
-Ability to assess, analyse and interpret data.
-Ability to interpret and understand technical and legal documents.
-Understanding of the Data Protection Act and principles of confidentiality.

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

-A good understanding of energy assessment in this field. Previous industry experience conducting SAP assessments; working in depth with the government approved SAP assessment packages and methodology.
-Knowledge / experience of the Code for Sustainable Homes assessment process.
-Experience in training candidates / colleagues, ideally in technical aspects
- Experience and knowledge of the construction industry.
-Knowledge of building services and construction.
-Interest in the energy efficiency of buildings.
-Knowledge of energy and sustainability standards.
-Knowledge of related planning guidance and building regulations.
