OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a nationwide Refrigeration, HVAC and M&E service provider who are looking add to their existing service department covering the Beverley and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a leading company who are continuing to grow in the current economic climate. Candidates must have demonstrable experience working within a Service role, ideally with exposure to working within commercial/ retail environments. Candidates MUST be GAS SAFE Certified with relevant commercial qualifications . Company Van and all PPE will be provided. This position is available for an immediate start. Large amount of Overtime available paid at premium rates.

Responsibilities

– Assist supervising contractors and sub contractors
– Day to day planned preventative maintenance are completed within contractual obligations
– Ensure all assets are maintained in accordance with O&M obligations
– Make sure all reactive calls are closed out in line with sufficient time scales
– Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and company policy. (Fire regulations, COSHH, safe work practices, PAT testing, PPE, etc)
– Ensure all gas distribution systems are functional and operational
– Carry out reactive repairs
– Make sure energy efficiencies are maintained and controlled
– Undertake Ad-hoc duties

Skills & Attributes

-Gas safe qualification along with Commercial certificates
– Previous experience of gas systems or multi disciplined maintenance
– Must have experience in relevant Health and Safety legislations
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team or an individual
– Ability to record work accurately
– Experience reading schematic and circuit diagrams
– Take responsibility for own actions
– Pro-active approach to work
– Willingness to undertake addition training when necessary

Gas Tickets must be in date for a minimum of six months
