OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our client, a HVAC and M&E service provider, are looking to recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their existing service department covering the Yorkshire area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a leading company who are continuing to grow, working with a wide range of clients across the region. Candidates must have demonstrable experience working within a Gas Service role, ideally with exposure to working within commercial environments. Candidates MUST have in date relevant commercial and domestic qualifications. A company van will be provided with a fuel card plus all travel time paid DOOR TO DOOR. This position is available for an immediate start. This role offers a competitive salary with a large amount of overtime available paid at premium rates.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance, repair and minor replacement works associated with gas/oil/LPG boilers, air conditioning, and/or plumbing systems throughout the Yorkshire area. Basic electrical knowledge would be preferred for the interaction with mechanical plant. The work is predominantly of a commercial nature although there will be a small amount of domestic also.

Skills & Attributes:

Ideal candidates must have a strong background in boiler maintenance/repair/fault finding;

Must have commercial and domestic gas qualification;

Must be able to work well alone as well as part of a team;

Must have excellent communication skills;

Must be punctual, reliable and professional;

Preferred if have at least one other qualification and/or experience as well as commercial and domestic gas e.g. FGAS air conditioning, 17th edition electrical, Oil or LPG.

Gas Tickets must be in date.
