OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for an Electrically biased Maintenance Supervisor on behalf of our market leading partner in the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record supervising a team of engineers alongside carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on both electrical and some mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient production output. The role would ideally suit a candidate with 17th /18th edition, PLC Fault Finding and 3 phase experience looking for a lead role within a busy environment.

Hours – Monday – Friday 7 – 3.30 ( Flexible)

Due to seasonal production demands hours may vary throughout the year so a flexible approach is required.

All Overtime etc paid at premium rates with large amount available

Role Description

  • Experience carrying out frequency based planned preventative maintenance
  • Supervise Maintenance team to ensure spread of workload and effienct upkeep of production plant.
  • Working knowledge and operation of PLC and computer controlled equipment (Siemens, Mitsubishi or Omron)
  • Experience working on high-speed, automated production lines
  • Strong working knowledge of 3 phase equipment
  • Diagnose and record breakdown causes and repair effectively
  • Support and develop the Safe Systems of Work ensuring that company Health and Safety standards and Safe Working Practices are always adopted
  • Proactive approach in business process improvement initiatives and have a strong awareness of performance trends
  • Strong communications skills across all levels
  • Carry out effective housekeeping of workshop and other engineering associated areas
  • Control of contractors on site to ensure compliance with all requried documentation

Skills & Attributes

  • Time served in a relevant electrical engineering discipline
  • 17th or 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations trained and certified (essential)
  • Working knowledge and operation of PLC’s (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron)
  • Understanding of incoming HV Supplies
  • Understanding of Mechanical components ( Gearboxes, Dries, Coveyors)
