OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of a leading supplier of mobility products based in the South.

As the Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobility equipment including scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs, motorised armchairs, motorised beds, hoists and bath lifts.

 

Role Description

  • Carry out planned service and maintenance work to manufacturer’s guidelines on mobility equipment including stairlifts.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and customers to identify and source parts needed.
  • Communicate with customers about equipment problems and provide assistance over the phone for simpler problems.
  • Deliver and install products in customer’s homes including product demonstrations and guidance on safe use of the equipment.
  • Unpack, assemble and test new equipment.
  • Install stairlifts and other home adaptions.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
  • Ideally previous field service experience.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Willing to learn about new products and services.
