I am looking to recruit a Maintenance Supervisor to join my client North of York on a permanent basis. This role will require the successful candidate to carry out all building maintenance task as required to maintain upkeep of the building. You will also be required to liaise with external contractors for maintenance of production equipment and site cleaning.. The ideal candidate will be 17th edition qualified with previous experience in a Maintenance/ Production area with demonstrable experience in maintenance of building fabric. Candidates will also be required to maintain site compliance in accordance with HSE legislation. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with good communication and organisational skills.

Role Description
To carry out general maintenance duties on plant and machinery.
Maintain site compliance in accordance with HSE Legislation PUWER, LOLER, HASWA etc.
Manage external contractors to maintain site facility from cleaning to production equipment.
To carry out and manage preventive maintenance in the production departments.
Manage the department overhead budget.
To carry out small maintenance and repair activities
Responsible for the cleaning staff and cleaning of offices and production/integration facilities.
Ensure all maintenance and facility activities are carried out in a safe and proper manner, using good working practices ensuring preparation of appropriate Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
Ensure good housekeeping.
Checks on company Assets.
Be prepared to work outside normal hours when required.
To liaise with sub-contractors when on site.
To be prepared to accept any additional training as required.
Stock control for facility materials
Other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities: (Deliverables)

Upkeep of the facilities, including overhead lights, plumbing, air conditioning and other facility equipment.
Maintain monthly maintenance log updates
Ensure adequate stock of materials kept on site for planned repairs/maintenance work and cleaning materials.

Qualifications

Candidates will ideally be time served as a Maintenance Engineer
Must hold demonstrable experience in maintenance of building fabric
17th Edition qualified
2377 qualified ( desirable)
2391 qualified ( desirable)
