OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our expanding client  within the Pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on both electrical and some mechanical equipment, ideally within a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient production output. The role would ideally suit a candidate with experience in both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance with PLC Fault Finding experience looking for a days based role with growing business.

17th or 18th Edition qualifications would be advantageous but not essential

Hours – Monday – Friday 7 – 3.30 ( Flexible)

Candidates must be experienced working in GMP environments

Role Description

  • Maintaining key equipment and machinery across the Packaging and Manufacturing departments including, but not limited to Granulators, Coaters, Presses, Conveyor Belts, Blister Machines and Cartonators.
  • Performing troubleshooting and diagnostic electrical testing across all relevant machinery, as noted above.
  • Programming and general usage of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Maintenance of GMP documentation, as required by the governing regulator (MHRA) and inline with best practice.
  • Assisting with Installation qualification processes for new and old equipment.
  • Supporting the wider Facilities team with maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Driving continuous improvement across all engineering processes and procedures through innovation and teamwork.
  • Experience working on high-speed, automated production lines
  • Diagnose and record breakdown causes and repair effectively
  • Strong communications skills across all level

Skills & Attributes

  • Time served in a relevant electrical or mechanical engineering discipline – Ideally HND qualified
  • 17th or 18th Edition IEE wiring regulations trained and certified (Advantageous)
  • Working knowledge and operation of PLC’s (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron)
  • Understanding of Mechanical components ( Compressed Air Systems, Gearboxes, Dries, Coveyors)
