OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager on behalf of an industry-leading organisation who specialise in carrying out Land and Utility Surveys for clients throughout the Uk.

Established over 12 years ago the company pride themselves on the Quality, Service and Value they provide to their customers and operate across a range of sectors including Energy, Highways, Rail and Construction.

The Operations Manager will manage the Southern office based in Kent and be responsible for the leadership of the Southern team aswell as developing relationships with current and new clients to achieve increased revenue and profit.

 

Role Description

  • Building and executing an annual strategic business plan for the Southern office
  • Forecasting and cost control
  • Business development to build relationships with potential new customers and secure new business.
  • Creating and maintaining close relationships with key customers
  • Working closely with the Project Managers to deliver operational requirements
  • Management of the current team of Land and Utility Surveyors.
  • Recruiting and developing the surveying team

 

Skills & Attributes

  • A Surveying qualification would be preferred but not essential.
  • Ideally have experience working as a Surveyor and/or managing a team of surveyors
  • Previous Operational Management experience including P&L responsibility.
  • Experience of financial forecasting and cost mapping.
  • Proven business development experience leading to increased revenue with new customers or in new markets
  • Demonstrable experience of recruiting and building strong teams
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Hold a relevant H&S qualification such as IOSH/NEBOSH, this is desirable not essential.
