We have a new opportunity for a Powder Coating Operative to join an established British manufacturer of large-scale, bespoke garden equipment based in North East Manchester. The role will involve working on a rotating shift-pattern in a small powder coating team within a busy manufacturing environment.

As a powder coating operative, your main duties will include the use of an electrostatic powder coating gun, coating a range of products according to specification. Candidates must possess previous experience of a similar manufacturing, paint spraying or powder coating environment.

This role is temporary, moving to a permanent position after a 12 week probation period.

Hours: Weekly rotating shift-pattern; Mon – Fri, 6AM – 2PM / Mon – Fri, 2PM – 10PM

Role & Responsibilities:

• Use of powder coating gun on products on a conveyor line
• Maintain cleanliness of spray gun & booths
• Compliance with Health & Safety Standards
• Carry out work to a high standard on time, complete with kit and correct labelling.

Skills & Attributes

• Experience in powder coating/paint shop/manufacturing environment
• Experience of using manual spraying system desirable (training provided)
• Experience of preparing parts for powder coating desirable (training provided)
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work towards targets
