We are currently recruiting for an Quality Engineer to join a well established Manufacturing client North of York. Due to a recent contract win, they are looking to add to their existing team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Quality Manager and provide day to day support to ensure all QA procedures are kept up to date and complied with. Candidates must have working knowledge and previous experience carrying out audits to ISO 9001 standards. Experience working with ISO14001/18001 would also be advantageous. Role Description

• Provide internal and External Audit as directed by the Quality Manager
• Maintaining the NCR system and ensuring that all NCRs are tracked and closed-out efficiently.
• Support, develop and implement supplier quality assurance and control processes as directed by the Quality Manager
• Lead the Quality Control department as directed by the Quality Manager; provide support to the Quality Control Inspector(s) to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and continuously improving receiving inspection process and procedures.
• Provides quality support to Supply Chain Management in respect of supplier and subcontractor approval, bid assessment, pre award evaluation and vendor risk / performance management post award.
• Help to promote a positive health and safety culture and continually improve the quality of products and services of the company
• Carry out other duties as required by the Quality Manager
• Maintain Calibration process and database

Candidate Skills
• Candidates must have a demonstrable background working within an ISO 9001 Internal Auditing role.
•Demonstrable experience working in a previous Quality Engineering role within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
•Lead Audit Trained in ISO 9001
•Suitably qualified in and Engineering/ Technical/ Manufacturing field
•Computer competent (Word and Excel)
•IOSH/ NEBOSH qualifications – advantageous
