OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Shipping Administrator to join a leading global engineering firm in the Worsley area looking to expand the current shipping team due to increased work load. The role is responsible for preparing all shipping and invoicing documentation ensuring that all customers’ orders are delivered on time and in full, delivering excellent service levels to both internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a similar role within the engineering/manufacturing sector with exposure to dealing with international shipping.

This role will initially be a temporary role for 3 months but may be extended for the right candidate.

Key Task Include:

·Producing shipping documentation and invoices for allocated products in accordance with import/ export controls to meet customer delivery times.

·Completing certified and legalised documentation as required

·Liaising with production on a daily basis to priorities shipment requirements

·Following up on proof of deliveries, proof of exports and import entries

·Filing and other admin tasks

·Creating shipping invoices

·Arranging transport as required, communicating with carriers and consolidating shipments if appropriate

·Coordinating the shipment collections

·Updating the shipping registers daily with all import docs

·Coordination the bills of lading and letters of credit

·Maintaining shipping records and keeping files up to date to meet custom and excise and import/export compliance regulations

·Supporting other members of the shipping team as required for absence cover

Qualifications/ Skills

·Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

·Have experience in a similar role working with international customers and posses a broad knowledge of shipping and commercial operators

·Ideally have familiarity with ERP systems ( Ideally SAP)

·Have good customer service skills

·Be able to work independently and in a small team

·Be highly organised

·Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
