We are currently recruiting for a site based Controls /Automation Engineer for a market leading business within the Automation Industry who provide automation support across a range of manufacturing clients to help improve productivity.

This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Automation maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with Beckhoff / Siemens PLCS and FANUC/Kuka/ ABB Robotics would be highly advantageous.

This is a Days based role Monday – Friday 0830 – 1730 with large amount of overtime available – Realistic earning potential £60k+

Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance

Role Description
*Support Customer’s automation systems to aid in improving productivity.
*To support the introduction of new projects on time and within budget constraints
*Fault finding and rectification of PLC’s – Beckhoff/ Siemens
*Experience working with Robotics – ABB, Fanuc, Kuka or similar.
*PLC software and hardware programming, operating and diagnostics
*General Automation
*Strong knowledge of IT – Windows Server
*Automation of existing plant & equipment, support equipment improvements and new equipment specification.
*Maintaining up to date task list for all ongoing service tasks.

Skills and Qualifications
*Demonstrable experience working within an Automation Engineering
*Strong working knowledge of PLC’s ( Beckhoff / Siemens)
*Strong working knowledge of Robotics ( ABB/ Fanuc/ Kuka)
*Expereince working within a Manufacturing environment
*Strong customer service mind set
*Working knowledge of Windows Server
*Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance
