OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Due to a large increase in work we are looking to recruit a System Integration Technician to join a leading manufacturing client North of York.  To be considered for this role, candidates will be apprentice-trained Electrical Engineers ideally with 17th/ 18th Edition qualifications. The role will require you to be involved in all aspects of product integration prior to and during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

This is a permanent role and consists of a 37 hour week working Monday to Friday with overtime available at premium rates after 37 hours. This role will also require candiates to travel both nationally and internationally as needed therefore you must be comfortable with this.

Key Responsibilities: (Key Tasks)

  • Perform the commissioning and integration of products.
  • Work closely with customers to complete factory acceptance testing (FAT`s).
  • Serve as a field support technician on and offshore.
  • Ensure a safe working environment as well as maintaining and servicing the integration test areas and equipment used.
  • Interface with the engineering department on test specifications and procedures noting any deviations or discrepancies.
  • Assist product support when required with faults or problems occurring off site, carrying out any in house testing or fault finding required.
  • Commission and integrate products to the required standards carrying out any necessary repairs or modifications in preparation for FAT’s with the customer.
  • Complete factory FAT’s, passing on any customer requests additional to contracts either the integration supervisor or project manager.
  • Assist customers and customer representatives at all times.
  • Pass on any noted deviations or discrepancies to the Integration Supervisor or the Project Engineer.

Qualifications/ Skills

  • Time Served Electrical Engineer
  • Ideally 17th / 18th Edition Qualified.
  • Technical proficiency in electronics, hydraulics and software integration.
  • Previous experience working in an offshore environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in Commissioing, Integration and FAT
