OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join my client based in Warrington on a Permanent basis. This is on behalf of an international industrial door manufacturer who are looking to add to its current Service team to help meet technical support and warranty demands. Ideally candidates will have a demonstrable background working a Technical Support/ Customer Service type role, ideally within an Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Service business. Candidates must have a strong eye for detail and be extremely customer focused. We are looking for candidates with a strong electrical/ electronic background with a methodical mind for fault finding.
Experience with door / gate automation products would be advantageous.

Hours of work – Monday – Thursday 0800 – 1700/ Friday – 0800 -1630

Job Description
*Providing help and technical advice to customers using company products and services
*Effectively helping customers fault find issues with components over the phone.
*Communicating courteously with customers by telephone and face to face.
*Investigating and solving customer problems, which may be complex or long- standing problems that have been passed on by Sales Managers
*Keeping accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers
*Carry out warranty works on returned products.
*Improving customer service procedures, policies and standards.

Qualifications
*Ideally candidates will possess electrical/ electronic qualifications however those with demonstrable work history will be considered.
*Must have demonstrable experience working with a Technical Support role relevant to electronic/ electrical products
*Strong Customer service skills
*Strong IT Skills
*Effective telephone communication
