OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Utility Surveyor on behalf of a specialist civil engineering and utility surveying consultancy. The company provide land surveying and engineering services for a wide range of projects throughout the Uk.

The Utility Surveyors will be responsible for carrying out site activities for underground utility surveys including GPR and Electromagnetic techniques. The role will require travel and occasional night shifts and work away from home. A full clean driving licence is essential.

Role Description

  • Complete core on site detecting and mapping activities required for underground utility surveys including Ground Penetrating Radar (high and low frequency), GPR in Mark-out Mode, Radio Detection, electromagnetics, drainage surveys, topographical survey techniques and equipment and GPS location and positioning.
  • Leading and coordinating field teams on site
  • Reporting to client project managers with professionalism
  • Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery
  • Assisting and Producing CAD drawing

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous demonstrable experience working as a Utility Surveyor.
  • Have a broad range of experience and versatility in order to meet new challenges.
  • An understanding of quality control and construction safety.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  • CSCS card

Desirable

  • An understanding of construction safety.
  • Driving License
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and possess excellent self motivation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
