OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

 

Overview

 

We are currently in the market for a Senior Utility Surveyor to work in the London area for an established Surveying Consultancy.  The company provide land surveying services to a number of different sectors and projects.

 

There are a number of locations across London of which we are recruiting for these include Central London, Gatwick and Heathrow.

 

 

 

Role Description

 

  • You will be required to know in depth a range of Utility Surveying styles in order to complete work across different site within the UK. These include, GPR, High and low frequency Penetrating Radar, Radio Detection, Drainage surveys and GPS location positioning
  • Self manage your workload accordingly to meet deadlines with client and business SLA’s
  • Be responsible for your works Quality Assurance of compliance to contractual obligations
  • You will survey your own work in lines with regulations
  • Have a flexible approach to any adhoc duties you may need to complete to help the wider business on new and existing projects
  • Undergo any additional training which is offered to develop skills further
  • Utility Surveying including GPR and Electromagnetic Techniques RD8000.
  • Working throughout the UK when required
  • The use of post processing software and AutoCAD
  • PAS 128 Reporting
  • Working alongside Land Surveyors
  • Basic Topographic surveys
  • Reduce down time on projects where necessary

 

 

Skills & Attributes

 

Previous working experience using;

 

  • Depending on the grade you are applying for, candidates will have a broad range of
    experience and versatility in order to meet new challenges
  • You will ideally have a sound academic background and a desire to work in a technical and
    part-outdoor based profession
  • An understanding of quality control and construction safety
  • Knowledgeable in the use of CAD
  • CSCS card
  • Holder of full UK driving licence
  • Experience carrying out PAS 128 survey standards
  • You must be willing to work weekends and overtime when required
  • Previous Utility Surveying is essential
  • Excellent data processing and data interpretation skills
  • Applicants must have a clean driving license
