OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join my continually growing client in Knottingley on a permanent basis. This position has been created due to an increase in workload and the client is looking to expand its current team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a Warehousing Supervisory/management role with a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role will require the management of day to day duties of all warehouse staff to ensure stock accuracy and on time delivery on products.. The ideal candidate will possess excellent man management skills and be able to lead from the front.

Role Description
•Implement & maintain processes to ensure that all Health & Safety guidelines are followed
•Esure all onsite & local warehouse physical stocks are 100% accurate against the system – both by quantity and by location
•Locate stock in the warehouses to maximise the capacity within all onsite and local warehouses but still maintain a safe working environment and protecting the quality of the stock
•Implement robust warehouse processes to control all stock from arrival into the warehouse right through to shipment to all customers
•Manage a team of FLT Warehouseman to ensure processes are followed and all targets are achieved
•Plan and coordinate warehouse manning to ensure appropriate resource is in place to support the needs of all production lines and inbound and outbound freight requirements
•Track and control all overtime, holiday & sickness
•Ensure stock is delivered to all production lines and external customers on time and in full
•Work with the Stock Controller to perform daily stock counts as required
•Participate in all Company Stocktakes
•Carry out any other activity as is reasonably required
Skills & Attributes
• Previous experience working within a Warehouse Supervisor/ Management role.
•Experience working within a fast paced logistics/manufacturing environment
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
• Excellent Man Management skills
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook literate.
