OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Continued expansion has created an interesting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Dirty water engineer. The company has been established for almost 50 years and specialises in packaged and engineered treatment of ‘clean’ process water and ‘dirty’ wastewater, sewage and sludge water, as well as providing ongoing operation, maintenance, servicing & spare parts.

 

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design from given flow rates and water characteristics. Capable of designing an activated sludge plant with digester tank, decant air lift, fine bubble diffusers, mixer, blowers etc based on a population, flow and final effluent consent requirements.

Excellent opportunity to progress to Senior and Director level.

 

The Person

The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical engineering degree (additional chemical process related qualification would be a bonus). Strong design skills having worked on a variety of water treatment projects. Capable of producing design specifications and liaising with the client to discuss their requirements. Have a good working knowledge of activated sludge plants, sludge thickening, inlet screen works, filter beds, drying beds, pipe sizing, pump sizing, blower sizing, structural design of small platforms etc

Sales experience would be beneficial although not essential.
