Position: Safety Officer (QHSE drilling dept) x 5 Salary: Competitive Location: West Africa, Persian Gulf and South America Needed: 5 Candidates The Company My Client is a large international turnkey contractor in the oil and gas industry and a leading provider of engineering and construction services with capabilities in the design and execution of large scale offshore and onshore projects. They have a strong bias towards oil and gas related activities in remote areas and deepwater and is a leader in the provision of engineering, procurement, project management and construction services with distinctive capabilities in the design and the execution of large-scale offshore and onshore projects, and technological competencies such as gas monetization and heavy oil exploitation. The Description They are currently recruiting for experienced Safety Officers in various locations on an initial 12 months fixed term contract basis. The successful candidates should have a minimum of 3 years work experience as a Safety Officer in drilling rigs, possibly with an operational background. The candidates must have a very high level knowledge of safety systems and equipment, and familiarity with HSE regulations, law, standards and technical rule. You will manage the company rig HSE management system and conduct internal audit OHSAS 18001:2007. You should also be able to carry out Job safety analysis and manage a Permit Work System. The working hours/day per week: 12/7 with 28/28 rotation. Personal Requirements The candidates should have the following characteristics: • High problem solving skills • Adaptability to changes • Good communication • Relational skills and flexibility Educational and Technical Requirements • Technical Diploma • BOSIET • H2S Certification and awareness • Fire, emergency response team member / leader certificate • Ideally Helicopter Landing Officer certificate • Ideally Emergency Helideck team member • Fluent in English. Knowledge of a second language like French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic is desirable. |
