The Opportunity

Our client is an established multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy. They have a broad client base ranging from small residential projects to vast commercial developments.  Due to continued expansion they are recruiting for a junior/trainee Environmental Engineer.

The Position

To assess, plan and undertake walkover surveys, desktop studies and site investigations on a wide variety of projects within the commercial, industrial and residential sectors and to write accurate technical reports

The Person

• Possess a degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Geotechnics or Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialism and have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in the industry
• Be working towards or interested in working towards chartership
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be capable of presenting ideas and working collaboratively within the team and with clients
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Be able to write full detailed factual and interpretive reports following review of laboratory results
• Handle both engineering and contamination assessments which will form a major part of your workload
• Have a full driving licence and own transport
• Be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
