The Opportunity

Consistent growth and development within our clients Transportation Division has created a new opportunity for an experienced Senior Transport Modeller. They are currently working on a range of projects across various sectors with responsibility for delivering modelling work for their private and public sector clients nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in or leading highway modelling projects using VISSIM, LinSig, Junctions 9 (ARCADY/PICADY) and VISWALK
  • Project and task involvement/management on modelling projects to include survey programmes, model development, calibration, validation, and demand forecasting
  • Checking outputs for compliance with quality requirements and industry best practice
  • Organise, train, support and mentor other modelling team members
  • Liaising with clients and other project stakeholders
  • Undertaking business development activities including proposal writing and client engagement.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • MEng/BEng in a relevant subject or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Committed to providing high quality, affordable and innovative solutions
  • Experienced in the use of VISSIM, LinSig and Junctions 9
  • Survey design, survey management and data analysis, alongside an understanding of variable demand modelling and forecasting are also key skillsets necessary for the role
  • Excellent people skills and an ability to work independently whilst also guiding others to produce clear, precise and coherent analysis and reports from transport models/transport appraisal techniques
  • Numerate with excellent data analysis skills, competency in data analysis packages, such as Excel/Access, good technical report writing skills
  • Additional experience with other relevant modelling packages such as Paramics, TRANSYT, SATURN, and VISUM would be useful, but is not essential
