Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Soft Services Manager on behalf of a fast growing Facilities Management provider.

Established over 15 years, the company has achieved growth year on year and enjoys excellent client relationships within a diverse range of sectors, including manufacturing, industry, retail, commercial, healthcare/medical and property management.

They provide a range of services to their clients across Wales and the South West including, M&E, Plumbing, Electrical, Fabric, Carpentry, Grounds Maintenance, Fire, Security & Access Control and many more.

An opportunity has arisen a Soft Services Manager to join the team. The Soft services Manager will take accountability for the delivery of all soft services across a range of sites in South Wales and the South West. Working with the Contracts Coordinators to ensure all work is programmed and completed in time, to an excellent standard

This position will be based from the Cardiff office and will involve travel to South Wales, Bristol and the South West.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for soft services team members for all soft services including grounds maintenance and cleaning.
  • To work as part of a team ensuring high standards of soft service delivery, customer satisfaction and contract retention.
  • Drive Service excellence throughout the onsite teams.
  • Maximise customer satisfaction and help maintain a good working relationship with the site client representatives and customers.
  • To effectively manage and develop, undertake appropriate training, and staff development.
  • To comply with Facility Services procedures, Health and safety and all legislative requirements.
  • Check with teams daily that all work is being carried out satisfactorily and in accordance with work schedules and to the standards required.
  • Work with the Contracts Coordinators to ensure the operational aspects of the service are adequately covered.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • It is essential that you have a pro-active attitude and can be flexible in relation to duties and working hours. The job also requires someone who can demonstrate that they have strong organisational and planning skills and have the ability to priorities and manage their time effectively
  • The candidate must be able to work effectively without close supervision and must possess good organisational skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly is essential
  • Experience in delivering to targets to achieve quality standards, customer satisfaction and profit margins
  • Experience of delivering financial targets
  • Experience of customer service and in particular customer relationship management
  • IT & systems literate, use of IT systems to provide and monitor data and plan time efficiently.
  • H&S Qualification – IOSH, NEBOSH
  • Experience of working as a Soft services manager within a Facilities Company.
