OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Continued expansion has created an exciting and challenging new opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join this leading mattress/bed manufacturing business. You will be responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives as laid down by Factory Manager to include safety, output, quality, waste.

 

The Role

  • To ensure all planned loads are loaded on time and in full each day
  • To ensure your departments housekeeping is maintained to acceptable standards
  • To ensure all employees under your control follow site health & safety rules
  • To ensure that clear access to all fire exits and fire equipment is maintained at all times
  • To ensure that any breaches of discipline by employees under your control is reported to the Factory Manager
  • To liaise closely with Production Supervision to ensure prompt delivery of product into your department to maximise loading efficiencies
  • To liaise closely with Production Supervision to ensure flexibility of workforce to achieve daily targets
  • To identify any training need within your department and discuss with Factory Manager
  • To ensure prompt action for any products returned
  • To carry out any other reasonable request from Senior Management deemed necessary to contribute to the effective operation of the factory or site

 

The Person

The successful candidate should possess experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
