OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Our client is one of the country’s leading Survey Specialists, providing full UK coverage in a wide range of services aimed at the detection and avoidance of underground utilities. They have a dedicated team of technicians that work throughout the UK, specialising in all aspects of survey, utility and drainage for commercial and domestic clients. From topographical surveys to underground utility tracing, drainage, CCTV and lining. They provide a turnkey solution for all drainage and survey requirements.

 

The Role

As the Survey Manager your responsibilities will include;

  • Project management and co-ordination of topographical surveys
  • Identifying operational resource requirements
  • Engaging with existing and potential clients regarding future survey works
  • Preparation of pre-works documentation such as risk assessments, method statements and site work packs
  • Ensuring SHEQ policies are followed and identify any failures
  • Undertaking site topographical surveys from planning to delivery including quotation and invoicing.
  • Providing survey training as required
  • Preparing quotations in accordance with project requirements and specifications
  • Providing support to Operations Director
  • Operational responsibility for day to day management of all related projects, including planning, resource, quality compliance and final output delivery
  • Quoting / pricing / scoping (understanding the clients requirements site specification)
  • Quality Assurance
  • Managing the teams
  • Site audits
  • Technical back up and knowledge
  • Meeting clients and attending meetings
  • Carrying out the site works when the department is very busy

 

Requirements

  • Preferably degree in a related discipline, such as Surveying
  • Topographical survey experience
  • Civil Engineering/Drainage experience
