Our client, an International Process/Automation business, are looking to recruit an experienced Controls /Automation Engineer to work on site with their highly prestigious Engineering / Manufacturing client.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a leading business and act as a real consultant alongside one of the UK’s leading manufacturing businesses.

Interested candidates must have a demonstrable background working within an automation-based role within a manufacturing environment. This would ideally suit a Commissioning Engineer/ Ex Commissioning looking to take more of a site-based role.

Candidates must have experience working with PLCs (Ideally Beckhoff / Siemens ) and Robotics (FANUC/Kuka/ ABB)

This is a Days based role Monday – Friday 0830 – 1730 with overtime available paid at premium rates- Realistic earning potential £60k+

Candidates must be able to obtain security clearance

Role Description
*Support Customer’s automation systems to aid in improving productivity.
*To support the introduction of new projects on time and within budget constraints
*Fault finding and rectification of PLC’s – Beckhoff/ Siemens
*Experience working with Robotics – ABB, Fanuc, Kuka or similar.
*PLC software and hardware programming, operating and diagnostics
*General Automation
*Strong knowledge of IT – Windows Servers+ assigning of IP addresses.
*Automation of existing plant & equipment, support equipment improvements and new equipment specification.
*Maintaining up to date task list for all ongoing service tasks.

Skills and Qualifications
*Demonstrable experience working within an Automation Engineering
*Strong working knowledge of PLC’s ( Beckhoff / Siemens)  – (Programming Advantageous but not essential)
*Strong working knowledge of Robotics ( ABB/ Fanuc/ Kuka)

*Demonstrable experience in both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance
*Experience working within a Manufacturing environment
*Strong customer service mind set
*Working knowledge of IT systems including Windows Server
*Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance
