OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Due to pending retirement a rare opportunity exists at this leading Property Maintenance company, who focus their expertise in the care sector.

The role will attract someone wanting career progression achieved through the need to develop and improve areas of personal skills, matched with strong ambition. You should be equally happy to work on your own initiative, or as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a defined career path to Director level.

 

The Position

Main duties will include

  • Attending site to evaluate and measure prospective projects to be tendered
  • Preparing and submitting quotations and tenders
  • Preparing and submitting tenders, valuations, final accounts and invoicing of all work undertaken
  • Preparing and managing programmes of work along with attending progress meetings, and carrying out handovers
  • Coordination of internal work force and sub-contractors
  • Responsibility for the recruitment and management review of sub contractor’s / suppliers required to meet the needs of the business involved in commercially growing the business
  • Check and authorise contractor invoices.

 

The Person

Self-motivated, driven, and reliable person, with a wealth of experience in project management and surveying within the various aspects of building maintenance, refurbishment, and construction sector.

Preferably with a background in private healthcare, project managing care homes managing maintenance and refurbishment contracts across the country.

Will consider other backgrounds such as Social Housing sector, along with the private sector.
