OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a Service Coordinator on behalf of the UK’s leading fire protection contractor. They specialise in the design and installation of automatic fire sprinkler systems.

Operating for over 45 years, they have a workforce of over 100 employees working across multiple offices in the UK.

They work in a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, education and residential. Clients include the likes of Asda, Next, Tag Heur, O2, Food Manufacturers, Schools etc.

The Service Coordinator will have the responsibility for the planning and scheduling of field engineers with the primary focus ensuring all work is strategically planned in a cost-effective manner and that client requirements are met.

This is a permanent position, based at their office in Leeds, paying £25k – £28k per annum + Pension + 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This will increase with length of service. This is working 8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am – 3:30pm on a Friday. You will receive 45 minutes lunch break Monday to Thursday and 30 minutes Friday’s. Full office car parking available.

  • Order materials
  • Chase purchase order numbers
  • Schedule engineers work
  • Manage engineers diary
  • Open job numbers on SMS
  • Liaise with subcontractors
  • Manage subcontractors diary
  • Process vehicle stock sheets
  • Book travel/lodge arrangements
  • Manage your own email work load
  • Chase outstanding quotations
  • Arrange parking/permits
  • Apply for works access through portals provided
  • Distribute RAMS to customers ahead of scheduled works
  • Provide assistance to the service team where required on a day to day basis

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Ideally experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working within a Scheduling/Resource Planning environment.
  • Experience working with an engineering or construction background would be beneficial.
  • A team player with a high level of self-motivation and organisational ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
