OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

6 months plus contract working for this well established multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy. They have a broad client base ranging from small residential projects to vast commercial developments.  Due to a significant increase in work load they are recruiting for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer on an on-going contract basis. The role will involve working remotely and visiting the offices as and when required.

 

The Position

Undertake structural design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and education sectors on projects up to £20 million in value.

 

The Person

  • Hold a B.Eng/M.Eng in Civil or Structural Engineering with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience
  • Be working towards chartership status through IStructE or ICE
  • Have good design experience and structural analysis skills in most common structural materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry
  • Have a good knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering software
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have experience in managing your own workload
  • Represent the company at meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors
  • Be responsible for accurate structural design calculations and drawings
  • Be a positive team member
