Overview
We are currently recruiting for a number of Multi Traders on behalf of a well-established maintenance and refurbishment contractor.
Operating for over 20 years, they operate in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, industrial and healthcare.
This position will be covering Tidworth, Salisbury and Bulford for numerous small works on MOD contracts. General fabric small works job, usually spanning a couple of days per job but this could include, simple joinery, painting & decorating, gutter clearances, fascia’s & soffits replacement, etc.
This role will be working Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. It is paying £175 – £200 per day depending on experience. These positions are ongoing. They have a huge list of work in the pipeline which will guarantee a long duration of work.
Responsibilities
- To carry out general small works and fabric maintenance on MOD contracts.
- Simple joinery, painting & decorating, gutter clearances, fascia’s & soffits replacement, etc.
- Undertake minor repairs to doors & locks, glazing, flooring etc
- Keep an up to date a record of routine maintenance schedules.
- Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
- Communicate daily with helpdesk regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks.
- To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience working as a Multi Trader/Fabric Engineer/Handyman.
- Qualified in a trade would be beneficial (i.e: Carpentry, plastering, decorating or equivalent)
- Basic Electrical and Plumbing Knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
- Security Clearance would also be beneficial but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
- Good customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
- Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
