A client of ours, who specialise in the supply of specialist capital machinery to various industries around the UK, are looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join their existing team on a permanent basis at their site near Newtown. The role will require the successful candidate to design and draft new process and packaging machinery as per client requirements/ specifications. Ideal candidates will be proficient in the use of 3D Solidworks / AutoCAD with demonstrable experience carrying out relevant works within a manufacturing environment. Candidates will ideally be HNC/HND qualified in an engineering discipline. This is available for an immediate start, with working hours of 0800 – 1700 Monday to Friday.

Role Description:

Complete engineering drawings to strict deadlines

B.O.M (bill of materials) generation and documentation.

Ordering necessary parts from approved suppliers.

Assist the Design Manager with any additional tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:

Engineering qualifications – HND / HNC qualified.

Must be an intermediate user of 3D CAD package.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience of creating drawings for manufacture; experience in designing machinery desirable.

Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication skills.
