I am looking to recruit 2 experienced Expeditors to join my client in North West Manchester initially on a contract basis. This position has been created due to growth in the business and backlog in orders therefore looking for help with materials control. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a expediting role within an engineering / manufacturing environment, ideally with experience dealing with suppliers to resolve issues and negotiate pricing/ contracts. The successful candidate will be required to manage all aspects of materials control resulting in continuous output.

Role Description
•Liaising with suppliers on timescales for components
•Updating MRP with any required changes
•To expedite all relevant materials.
•To work with Planners on any material delays that will affect production output.
Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience within an expediting role.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
• Good understanding of an MRP system ( ideally SAP).
• Excellent communication skills
