OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Refrigeration Install Technician to work all around the UK & Ireland on behalf of a leading service business. This is a rare opportunity to join a rapidly expanding industrial refrigeration division within an already well-established company. The role will involve travelling nationally to a variety of construction, industrial and heavy commercial environments to provide site management support and pre-commissioning installation. Candidates must possess a basic knowledge of mechanical engineering including fitting, assembly/disassembly and plumbing. Ideally, candidates will also have refrigeration qualifications, experience and qualifications in mechanical handling and access equipment and a CSCS Card. However, these are not essential, and training will be provided if necessary.

The successful candidate must be willing to spend lengthy periods working away from home all around the UK. They must be safety focused, able to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customer representatives while consistently delivering a quality outcome through attention to detail.

Role Description:

• Working at a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks ranging from good receipt, store-man, painting, plumbing, lift & shift operations, mechanical assembly/disassembly of valves and equipment, pressure testing, system charging for water and glycol etc.

•To ensure that systems and procedures are followed and highlight problems identified to the relevant manager for all tasks.

•Assist with ad hoc duties as and when they arise, as instructed by the nominated Site Manager or Project Manager.

 

Skills & Attributes:

•Willingness to work nationally (‘working away’ is required)

•Refrigeration qualifications an advantage (but not essential)

•CSCS Card an advantage (Training will be provided if necessary)

•Full UK Driving License

•Experience and qualifications in operating mechanical handling and access equipment would be an advantage (training will be provided if necessary)

•Proven history of working with a wide variety of piping and mechanical fitting applications.

•Experience of working on mechanical and piping system installations.

•Basic mechanical engineering knowledge and use of hand and power tools.

•The desire and ability to work in construction, industrial and heavy commercial environment
