OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Due to an increase in production, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Technician to join their existing production team on a permanent basis.

This opportunity will be based on days between Monday & Friday.

The role is available for experienced apprentice trained Electrical Fitters who are looking for a new permanent opportunity with a leading, well-established and well known organisation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in test and repair of electronics with experience of fault finding on PCBS down to component level. Experience in Panel Wiring and Electrical Assembly / Sub assembly is also essential.

This role is based on a 38 hour week with overtime paid at premium rates.

Week 1 – Monday – Thursday – 0730 – 1730

Week 2 – Tuesday – Friday – 0730 – 1730

Role Description

  • Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards.
  • Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc.
  • Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly, and control system outfitting.
  • Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies.
  • Perform limited computer controlled operations.
  • Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%.
  • Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule into integration dates and tooling/spares WO completion dates.
  • Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices
