OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently recruiting on behalf on an international manufacturing business based near Walkden who are looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller / Cycle Counter to join them initially on a temporary basis for up top 6 months. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working within a stock control/ cycle count role within the manufacturing/ distribution sector with a solid working knowledge of SAP.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing regular cycle counts to enhance inventory accuracy and to improve the cycle count process within the business.

Candidates will also require a Reach FLT license.
Hours 0745 – 1615- Monday – Thursday
0745 – 1245 – Friday
Role Description
  • Perform regular cycle counts to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Verify discrepancies recount procedures for discrepancies. Researching inventory discrepancies and making necessary corrections.
  • Reconciliation of the general ledger to the on hand perpetual records for the most recent month.
  • Schedule monthly general ledger postings to the Allowance For Physical Inventory Adjustment Account and/or the Physical Inventory Adjustment account for the current YTD and prior year.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Maintain detailed cycle count reports and daily count sheets
  • Maintaining product identification and location program.
  • Assisting the inventory control function at the site.
  • Resolving inventory problems in a timely manner.
  • Documenting and controlling aged & damaged products.
  • Ensuring all labelling requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management and verify whether the statistical information is recorded correctly.
  • Verify whether cycle-count records are kept for two years.
  • Other duties to improve the integrity of the SAP material master records

Qualifications/ Experience

  • Demonstrable experience working within a Stock Control / Cycle count role.
  • Experienced using SAP
  • In Date Reach FLT license
