Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of one of the UK’s leading building services companies.

Established over 40 years, their head office is based in London, and they also have several over offices across the nation. They are known for their services in M&E, FM, Design and Construction.

They are a well-known company with hundreds of employees working for them. They work in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, health and transport.

As the Commercial Gas Engineer, your duties will be to carry out planned maintenance (PPM) and minor works repairs in support of the Bristol City Council Contract, to set HVCA standards. Equipment includes Commercial and Domestic Boiler Installations, motors, pumps, ventilation plant and associated equipment. You will work an various sites such as schools, offices, care homes, town hall, libraries etc.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s.
• Periodic Maintenance of Commercial and Domestic Gas Boilers.
• Respond to Reactive Works to include all Mechanical & Electrical and minor fabric issues.
• Adhere to the out of hours call out rota (as required).
• Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
• Provide engineering condition reports and quotations.
• Logbook auditing, Tablet interface via the clients CAFM application.
• To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

Skills & Attributes

• Domestic and Commercial Gas Qualifications are essential.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Experience working within FM or the building maintenance industry.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
