Overview

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for Electricians on behalf of a well-known specialist provider of mechanical and electrical engineering services.

Established over 100 years they have a team of almost 250 members of staff working for them, across multiple offices in the UK.

The main sectors they work in are retail, commercial, healthcare and leisure. They a large portfolio of clients including Local Councils, Universities, Hilton hotels, Wagamama, Lidl, Next etc.

As the Electrician you will join the service and maintenance team working mainly on retail sites. You will be covering the M3 corridor/South Coast.

This is a permanent position paying £35k – £37.5k per annum. Private use of van is allowed. Paid door to door travel. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. Overtime is paid at time and a half Monday – Saturday and double time on a Sunday. 23 days annual leave increasing to 26. Bank holidays are additional. The call out rota is 1 in 6 and receives a £100 standby fee and again paid door to door if called out. Training and Development courses. Pension.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s.
• Also able to carry out installation work when required.
• Ensure the Client, Customer and Team are ‘kept in the loop’ through feedback and regular updates.
• Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
• Communicate daily with helpdesk/Supervisor regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks.
• To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

Skills & Attributes

• 18^th Edition or relevant qualification.
• Experience working within FM or the building maintenance industry.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
