OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Electrician on behalf of a well-established M&E Contractor based in Nottingham who offer design, install and commissioning services

Established almost 20 years, they offer a range of mechanical electrical and facilities management services to a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, educational and leisure.

We are looking for an Electrician fluent in access control and fire alarm systems. Majority of the work will be service and repair with some installs. This is working on a mobile basis on sites across the East Midlands region. You will mainly be working on sites such as fire stations, schools and offices.

This is a permanent position paying £37k per annum. Perks include van & fuel card which can be used for private use, overtime, pension, 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays, training & development opportunities etc.

 

Responsibilities

  • To undertake planned and reactive maintenance of electrical, fire alarm, nurse call and emergency lighting system including out of hours emergency breakdown cover.
  • To provide support as part of the out of hours call-out rota.
  • To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s.
  • Also able to carry out installation work when required.
  • Ensure the Client, Customer and Team are ‘kept in the loop’ through feedback and regular updates.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
  • Communicate daily with helpdesk/Supervisor regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks.
  • To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • 18th Edition or relevant qualification.
  • Experience working on commercial or retail sites.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
