Overview

We are currently recruiting for Electrician’s on behalf of a leading regional electrical contractor who provide repair, maintenance and installation services for residential, commercial and industrial clients across Southern England.

With over 60 years experience in the electrical and property care industry they now have a team of almost 90 staff and electrical engineers.

They work in a range of sectors including domestic, commercial, healthcare and educational. Clients include the likes of local councils, housing associations and Haven Holidays. They cover the Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset areas.

You will mainly be working on domestic sites and light commercial. It is a 50/50 split of maintenance and installation work.

This is a permanent position paying £40k – £42k per annum Perks include van & fuel card which can be used for private use, overtime, pension, private healthcare, paid sick leave, training and progression opportunities. 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. There is also a call out rota which is 1 in 10.

Responsibilities

• Electrical test and inspections.
• Upgrading of heating systems.
• Consumer unit replacements.
• Rewires of domestic premises.
• Reactive maintenance works.
• Kitchen and bathroom upgrades.
• To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

Skills & Attributes

• 18^th Edition or relevant qualification.
• ECS Gold card and 2391 are beneficial.
• Experience working within the housing sector.
• Ability to work well alone or as part of a team.
• Someone self-motivated, who is able to work from their own initiative.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
• Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
