OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Apex Engineering Solutions are acting as an Employment Agency on behalf of a building services maintenance company who specialise in large commercial gas energy centres and plant rooms.

Continued expansion has created an exciting and challenging new opportunity for an experienced Field Service Manager.

You will be responsible for the supervision of a team of mobile service engineers, overseeing both Planned and Reactive maintenance of commercial energy centres and plant rooms.

 

The Role

  • Day to day management and supervision of the mobile service team.
  • Delivering against agreed financial targets, including managing resource and cost budgets
  • Providing monthly performance reports
  • Health and Safety Management on all sites and working procedures, ensuring compliance with company procedures and H&S requirements.
  • Managing and motivating Engineers to perform against objectives and company KPI’s
  • Reducing engineer downtime and non-productive time, by increasing the first fix rate through training, knowledge and van stock
  • Attending site meetings as required.
  • Training and development of the engineering team.
  • Oversee the day to day operation of the helpdesk

 

Skills & Attributes

  • HVAC and/or Gas qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a Management/Supervisory role managing a team of mobile engineers.
  • Preferably have previous experience working with an FM or Building Services Maintenance contractor.
  • Strong Health & Safety experience, ideally with NEBOSH/IOSH certification.
  • Knowledge and experience of commercial energy centres and plant rooms.
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
