OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

 Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Adaptions Technician on behalf of a local authority affiliated organisation based in Liverpool.

The Adaptions Technician will report to the Adaptions Manager and will be responsible for delivering quick adaptions for people with disabilities, to support the prevention of admission to hospital, and to facilitate discharge or intermediate care programmes.

 

Role Description

  • Undertake minor adaptions to people’s homes such as fitting handrails etc.
  • Completion of plumbing and other works in accordance with specifications issued.
  • Provide a good customer service and ensure that all work meets the required standards.
  • Identify and report to the relevant Manager of all defective materials and undertake remedial work as required.
  • Report to the relevant manager of all material requirements.
  • Set out construction works as directed by the Manager.
  • Comply with Health and Safety requirements.

 

Skills & Education

  • Previous maintenance experience.
  • Relevant qualification in maintenance or engineering course.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Work effectively within a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.
