Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer/Refrigeration Engineer on behalf of a well-established Design & Build contractor.

Operating over 20 years, their head office is based in Glasgow and they also have a number of other offices throughout the UK.

They work in a range of sectors including Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Aerospace & Defence. Clients include the likes of NHS, Public Health England, ThermoFisher, Universities and many more.

As the AC Engineer, you will be involved with routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on cooling systems covering the East of Scotland.

Private use of van is allowed. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. They also have a bonus scheme. 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Pension. There is also a 1 in 8 call-out rota.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, diagnosing, repairing faults and undertaking routine maintenance on industrial, commercial, public sector air conditioning systems.
• Working on systems such as VRV’s, VRF’s, Splits, AHU’S and Fan coil Units.
• Able to complete company documents such as job cards, time sheets and maintenance reports.
• Good customer service skills, well presented with the ability to build a rapport with clients.
• Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults.
• Carrying out planned maintenance.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Experienced in servicing and maintaining AC and refrigeration systems.
• F-Gas 2079-1 and C&G Service & Maintenance Level 3 or equivalent.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
