OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer on behalf of a North West based Facilities Management company.

They offer a range of services including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, joinery/fabrics etc. They mainly operate in the commercial, retail and leisure sectors. Clients include the likes of Premier Inn, Five Guys and Slim Chickens.

This is mainly a service and maintenance role with remedials. You will mainly be working on hotels and restaurants across Cumbria.

This is a permanent position, covering Cumbria, paying £36k per annum. It is working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week, 8am – 4:30pm. There is a van and fuel card provided, pension and 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This will increase with length of service. Overtime rates are x1.5 Saturday until noon then x2 until Monday. There is no call out rota.

 

Responsibilities

  • To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s.
  • Also able to carry out installation work when required.
  • Ensure the Client, Customer and Team are ‘kept in the loop’ through feedback and regular updates.
  • Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
  • Communicate daily with helpdesk/Supervisor regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks.
  • To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer, specialising in both split type and VRV/VRF systems.
  • F-Gas certification as a minimum.
  • Experience working within FM or the building maintenance industry.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
