Overview

Due to growth we are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer on behalf of a well-know and successful FM and HVAC contractor.

Operating over 10 years, they have over 200 members of staff working for them and multiple offices in the UK.

The role requires travel throughout the North of England and occasionally the rest of the UK. You will be involved with installations, routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on cooling systems e.g. commercial A/C & refrigeration equipment such as splits, multi splits, vrv/vrf, Heat Pumps, cold rooms and chillers. Working in buildings like supermarkets, offices, schools, hospitals and food processing plants etc. You will need the ability to follow technical instructions and an understanding of safe working practices.

This is a permanent position paying £40k – £45k per annum depending on experience. Perks include Van & Fuel Card. Private use of van is allowed. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. Responsibilities

• Surveying buildings where cooling systems are to be fitted.
• Discussing requirements with customers.
• installing systems.
• Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults.
• Carrying out planned maintenance.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-Gas Qualification.
• The ability to follow technical drawings, building plans and other instructions.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
