Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer/Refrigeration Engineer on behalf of a well-established Design & Build contractor.

Operating over 20 years, their head office is based in Glasgow and they also have a number of other offices throughout the UK.

They work in a range of sectors including Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Aerospace & Defence. Clients include the likes of NHS, Public Health England, ThermoFisher, Universities and many more.

As the AC/Refrigeration Engineer, you will have the required skill set to fault find, service and maintain a variety of Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Chiller and Refrigeration systems to ensure continuous operation of client’s sites across the East of Scotland.

Private use of van is allowed. Plenty of overtime and weekend work available. They also have a bonus scheme. 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Pension. There is also a 1 in 8 call-out rota. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the Maintenance of Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration systems.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and provide a relevant technical resolution.
• Approach works diligently working within the requirements of Health & Safety Legislation.
• Complete documentation utilising handheld technology to a high standard and timeously.
• Ensuring all compliance paperwork is complete and up to date.
• Undertake training in new techniques and maintain existing relevant qualifications.
• Build solid working relationships with clients and end users promoting the business positively.
• Undertake training in new techniques and maintain existing relevant qualifications.
• Participate in a 24/7 Call Out Rota.

Skills & Attributes

• Experienced in servicing and maintaining AC and refrigeration systems.
• F-Gas 2079-1 and C&G Service & Maintenance Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience of Chiller equipment would be highly advantageous.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
