Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer on behalf of a family run HVAC supplier.

Established over 40 years, they specialise in the installation, servicing and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. They have over 25 members of staff working for them.

They have a wide range of clients including Schools, Universities, Commercial, Residential, Hospitals, Pubs, Clubs, MOD sites and Formula One Race Teams.

We are looking for an F Gas qualified engineer with experience in working in a similar role ie breakdowns on VRV’s, VRF’s, Splits and Multi Splits. The role will include identifying and repairing faults and an occasional request to help out with maintenances, especially during our busy periods.

Ideally we are looking for candidates based within a 30 mile radius of Oxford.

This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm. Benefits include Van & Fuel Card, Door to door travel, Overtime, Pension, Training & development courses, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising by a day a year up to 26 days etc. There is also a 1 in 8 call out rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and minor fault finding on air conditioning, ventilation systems and a range of refrigeration units.
• Discussing requirements with customers.
• Running quality checks to make sure systems are working properly and safely.
• Diagnosing and fixing faults.
• Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
• Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.

Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience maintaining air conditioning systems.
• Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
• F-Gas Qualification.
• Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
• An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
• Full UK Driving License.
