OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Company

Our client is a leading supplier to the UK storage industry, offering a full warehouse interior design and storage system. They operate a full consultancy service to their clients, including carrying out site surveys and CAD design to provide the most appropriate solutions.

Their specialties include mezzanine floors, pallet racking, industrial shelving and repairs and inspections. Working with major manufacturers (e.g. Redirack, Link 51, Apex, Hi-store) and to the highest standards (all our designs are to SEMA standard) they ensure a high level of quality and expert advice to reach a successful outcome.

 

The Role

As the Contracts Engineer your position will involve the following;

  • Project Managing the day-to-day Mezzanine floor and pallet racking Installation
  • Checking site reports, design and drawings and report back
  • Ensuring installation carried out to specification
  • Keeping updated on any change requests
  • Attending meetings
  • Liaising with client
  • Customer relations

 

The Person

  • An eye for detail and a methodical work process
  • Previous experience in Site Management in a Construction environment
  • Ideally a knowledge of installing Mezzanine Flooring and pallet racking
  • IT and CAD knowledge
  • Analytical and numeracy skills
  • Creative problem solving ability
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and negotiation skills
  • Time management, organisation and the ability to work to deadlines
  • A driven, self-motivated attitude and ability to use initiative
  • Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change
