OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Opportunity

Our client provides a range of services to major Water Utility companies throughout the UK and Ireland, including planning, design, manufacture, through to installation and commissioning. Increased work load has created a new opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer.

The Role

  • Production of 3d models and drawings using Autocad and Inventor
  • FEA Analysis, CFD Analysis to prove designs
  • Ensuring Drawings are compliant with drawing process’s and standards
  • Production of standard products and proving designs using engineering calculations
  • Monitoring and upholding the standards of the drawing work produced
  • Production of Bom’s to accompany drawing packets
  • Work alongside other departments to overcome production issues
  • Ensuring weld procedures are present and correct on drawings
  • Mentor Junior staff Members
  • Attend Kick-Off/Design Meetings where required

The Person

  • HNC/HND in Mechanical/Structural Engineering as a minimum
  • Engineering experience and understanding of technical drawings (Essential)
  • Use of Autocad and Inventor desirable (Training can be provided)
