OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Opportunity
Our client provides a range of services to major Water Utility companies throughout the UK and Ireland, including planning, design, manufacture, through to installation and commissioning. Increased work load has created a new opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer.
The Role
- Production of 3d models and drawings using Autocad and Inventor
- FEA Analysis, CFD Analysis to prove designs
- Ensuring Drawings are compliant with drawing process’s and standards
- Production of standard products and proving designs using engineering calculations
- Monitoring and upholding the standards of the drawing work produced
- Production of Bom’s to accompany drawing packets
- Work alongside other departments to overcome production issues
- Ensuring weld procedures are present and correct on drawings
- Mentor Junior staff Members
- Attend Kick-Off/Design Meetings where required
The Person
- HNC/HND in Mechanical/Structural Engineering as a minimum
- Engineering experience and understanding of technical drawings (Essential)
- Use of Autocad and Inventor desirable (Training can be provided)
