The opportunity

Due to continued expansion of this well established and rapidly expanding design contractor a new opportunity has been created for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. The company work on a range of projects from small electric vehicle charging sites to large scale solar farms, offices, large industrial warehouses and more.

The Position

As the Electrical Design Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include

• Managing multiple projects at once and prioritising workload as required
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Meeting with clients and looking after projects independently
• Surveying existing electrical systems to aid designs
• Preparation of specifications
• Preparation of technical drawings
• Undertaking design calculations
• Understanding of BS 7671 and relevant British Standards

The Person

• Minimum of 4 years experience in building services design
• HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
• Experience in use of any or all of the following: AutoCAD, Revit, Trimble, ElectricalOM, Dialux, Relux
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Willing to travel
• A clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Salary & Benefits:

• Up to £60,000 depending on experience
• Possibility of hybrid working after completion of probationary period
• 31 days holidays (inclusive of public holidays). 1 day additional for each full year up to a maximum of 4
