OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Estimator on behalf of a rapidly expanding property development company based in West Yorkshire.

 

Working on a range of New Build and Refurbishment projects the Estimator will be involved at every stage of the project from the initial design phase right through to completion.

 

Role Description

  • Actively participate in the initial design stage of projects in order to achieve best value.
  • Carry out detailed pricing for competitive tenders and negotiated projects using a variety of procurement roles.
  • Prepare elemental cost plans and familiar with bench marking techniques and market testing.
  • Work closely with project managers and designers.
  • Provide advice to the design and construction team on alternative design considerations.
  • Management of risk and opportunity schedules.

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Degree qualified in a relevant Cost Management subject is preferred but not essential.
  • Robust commercial acumen and an experienced logical approach to cost planning and estimating.
  • Experience in a similar role ideally working for major contracting organisations in the UK.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Full Driving Licence

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
